Birla Mandir, Hyderabad

Birla Mandir is built on an 86 m high hill in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India on a 13 acres plot. The construction took 10 years and was constructed in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of RamaKrishna Mission. It is a hindu temple of Lord Venkateshwara, entirely build in white marbles.

Golconda Forte

The Golconda Forte located about 11 km away, on the Western outskirts of Hyderabad City.

History of Golconda

Before the advent of Hyderabad, Deccan was ruled from Golconda Forte. It was eearlier established by the Kakatiya's in the 13th century and the existing structured was constructed by the Qutub Shahi kings. It was renovated by the first three Qutub Shahi Kings, over a span of 62 years.

Attraction with in the Forte

The forte of Golconda is known for its magical acoustic system. The highest point of this Forte is located a kilometer away. The palaces, water supply system etc are some of the major attraction.

The highlight of the Forte

The highlight of Golconda Forte is a sound and light show. It depicts the glorious part of this grand fortress. This audio-visual extravaganza is presented in english,hindi and telegu.
